Our Odyssey Ever since he was a little boy, Sean dreamed of traveling the world while living in a converted bus. Louise, who had did not have such particular (and peculiar) dreams, is nonetheless also interested in traveling, and has come to see how comfortable travel by bus can be. All the reasons for RV travel apply: convenience, comfort, security, autonomy. Added advantages that a bus has over a conventional RV are durability (a bus chassis and engine are designed to go a million miles) and smoothness of ride (buses are made to carry people; conventional RVs are built on the same chassis as UPS and bread delivery trucks. Buses carry people buns, RVs carry poppyseed buns.)
Rolling in a RV - Wheelchair Traveling We've been fulltiming since 1993. Traveling in an RV became a long term goal of ours after we spent a year on the road in 1976 with our 4 year old daughter. We settled down and got to work saving money. Both of us had jobs and we also bought houses and apartment buildings which we remodeled , rented and eventually sold. It was a lot of work for a modest profit not at all like the infomercials on TV portray it! :D In the spring of 1993, our daughter was in college , we put our house up for sale and loaded the RV. On the road at last!
RV Boondocking the Good Life Howdy! This is the blog of a broken down old cowboy and his wife. We're outfitting our dually truck and fifth wheel to go RV boondocking full-time. You'll find all the good things I've found, as well as the dumb things I've done, in search of that goal! Hopefully, if you too, have dreams of being an RV full-time nomad, the adventures of this old cowboy will help you avoid some of the

RVInteractive.com - Home of the RV Guys This is about our own experiences preparing for the full-time RVing lifestyle and the day to day issues you might encounter once on the road. I'm sure there are many ways to approach this and that you'll have different circumstances and thus different experiences, but maybe our experiences can help you prepare for your own adventure.
Taking Your Camera on the Road Taking your camera on the road is about doing, being, going, living, asking, telling, and learning on the road.
The Long, Long Honeymoon Not unlike Desi & Lucy in 1954's 'The Long, Long Trailer,' we went honeymooning throughout the USA with our travel trailer. Yes, 'twas a bit crazy. But we were both born with the travel bug, and were curious to learn more about this RV lifestyle we'd been hearing so much about. So we bought a 25-foot Airstream Classic, hitched it to our Ford F250 truck (nicknamed SEEMORE), and hit the road. Our journey has taken us over 15,000 miles, from Key West, Florida (the southernmost point in the United States) all the way up to Banff, Alberta (that's in Canada, eh?) and points in between. We've had so much fun documenting our Airstream adventures, we're not planning to stop anytime soon.
Travel By Desine All about the travels of Don Wood and Lou Manners. Our first RV was a 1968 VW camper made by Concord. This camper was unusual because it had sliding doors on both the left and right. I bought it used in 1973 and put about 250,000 miles on it. The highlight trip was in 1979 when we took a six week trip around the states. We took our two dogs and went north from San Jose, California to Vancouver, Canada; East to Montana; Wyoming; Colorado; South Dakota; Chicago; Rochester, NY and Niagara Falls; Boston; New York; Atlantic City, New Jersey; Philadelphia; Washington DC; Mammoth Caves; Nashville; Miami; Key West, Kansas; and Las Vegas. We left Key West Florida with two days left of our vacation and with short stops in Kansas and Las Vegas we made it back on time, 24 hour team driving. This trip may sound a bit rushed, but it was actually relaxed.
