To pay at the payment machine, bring loonies and toonies as it does not accept bills. The water at the station fills the tank very slowly, which can take 20-30 minutes. This issue has been noted since 2012. Additionally, the water has a smell of sulphur. As of 2017, there are two lanes available: one for potable water and one for non-potable rinse water. To reach the park entrance, turn off Highway 3, 3 km (1.9 miles) west of the Highway 3/93 junction at Elko. The park entrance is located 8 km (5 miles) further west.
